Garrett Hendricks

Doors open at 6p, music starts at 8p!

Garrett Hendricks’ musical journey began in earnest in a printing shop in the 1990’s. That’s where he watched his aunt’s band practice blues and R&B covers and he became enthralled with the guitar. Soon he would try to match his mother’s singing and would sneak records and cd’s out of his father’s office trying to soak in as much music as possible. As a teenager he discovered the likes of Johnny Cash and John Prine and decided he wanted to become a songwriter.

It was always about storytelling to find a message for Garrett, and he began road testing his own songs of personal experience but also fictional narratives on life in America. For nearly ten years he fronted Pacific Northwest Americana band, Garrett and the Sheriffs, cutting his teeth in bars, clubs, bonfires, and salmon barbecues all through the west.

Now as a solo performer Garrett continues to search for new stories. He writes songs that reflect the past, present, and future of the American land and its people taking inspiration from his own journeys and those of the people and places he has encountered. Whether it’s a song about holding on to memories of a beloved lake cabin or the socio-political woes of the nation, you can bet that Garrett Hendricks is reaching out to move or inspire the same way he was in that old printshop so many years ago.
